Birthdays

These are great activities for a child's birthday and does not interfere with religious beliefs:

*Trace the child on a large sheet of paper and have the children give input of what they think the persons good qualities are. Write these around the tracing (arms legs head, feet, etc...). This is rolled up and sent home with the child. For those not celebrating birthdays it can be called that child's special day instead.

*Have the child pick out a color of paper to be used. (Kept in teacher's lounge usually). Trace the child in the morning by laying down on the paper. In the afternoon, hand it up, have the child get a marker(they choose color). The child decides who gives comments and chooses them. When the chart id full, roll up and send home with the child after school.
