This is an average spelling lesson schedule for a week. It may vary according to the grade.
Monday:
Write down the words creating a spelling list. May give them a list and they copy it to take home for study(discuss words and meanings).
Tuesday:
Write words in alphabetical order - look up in glossary and write the page number(may also have a pretest for 4 - 5 grade).
Wednesday:
Write spelling words 5 times each.
Thursday:
Do a worksheet involving the spelling words, or write them in sentences.
Friday:
Spelling Test
